Meet the Authors

Who we are and why we're doing this

We are Delia Fay and Anne Fay, sisters by birth and sisters in Christ. Delia is a priest and missioner in the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California. Anne is a lay person in the Episcopal Church and a systems engineer with an aerospace company in southern California. Delia has been watching, studying, and doing Total Ministry for close to 25 years. Anne brings her experience in organization and planning, systems definition and documentation, and attention to detail. Together we are able to articulate our visions, capture our thoughts, and accomplish things with both imagination and rigor.

We embarked on this project because we feel this is the direction that God is leading the Church in general and us in particular. In truth, God dangled the project in front of us and neither of us could resist. Delia came away from a Small Church Growth workshop in July 2006 with more questions than answers and a lot of frustration. In her conversation with Anne on the way home from the workshop (using a hands free phone!), this Total Ministry Project was born.

Nupur Dance Academy is a school for (Asian) Indian Dance and Music. Founder, dancer, and choreographer Prachi Dixit teaches kathak dance to all ages at her Torrance, CA, studio location (Los Angeles area). She also teaches north Indian classical vocal music and tabla. Visiting artists from India support the dance classes and yearly performances. In addition they provide private lessons in tabla, vocal, and santoor.
